Material Preparation & Production Equipment

These plants manufacture the concrete and asphalt mixes required to build the road's structural layers.

Asphalt Mixing Plant: Produces hot mix asphalt (HMA) by heating and mixing aggregates with bitumen.
Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) Plant: Prepares the base and sub-base layers using a homogeneous mixture of aggregates and water.
Concrete Batching Plant: Produces large volumes of ready-mix concrete for curbs, gutters, and rigid concrete roadways.
Transit Mixer (Concrete Mixer Truck): Transports concrete from the batching plant to the site while continuously rotating the drum to prevent hardening.

These machines are dedicated to evenly applying binding agents and laying the road's driving surface.

Bitumen Boiler / Asphalt Melter: Heavy-duty equipment designed to heat and melt solid or semi-solid bitumen to its ideal liquid application temperature, typically 150°C–180°C.
Bitumen Sprayer / Distributor: Applies a uniform layer of liquid bitumen (tack coat) on the base layer to ensure the asphalt bonds correctly.
Asphalt Paver: Receives asphalt mix from dump trucks and lays it uniformly onto the road surface at a controlled thickness.
Cold Planer (Milling Machine): Uses a rotating drum of carbide teeth to grind and remove deteriorated asphalt layers before resurfacing.
Chip Spreader: Spreads a layer of crushed stone over a sprayed asphalt binder in surface treatment applications.

Used to compact soil, sub-base, and asphalt to increase density, eliminate air pockets, and prevent future erosion.

Large heavy drums, often with protruding pads, used to deeply compact raw soil and sub-grade materials.

Uses two heavy, smooth, vibrating steel drums to compact and flatten asphalt layers.

Produces large volumes of ready-mix concrete for curbs, gutters, and rigid concrete roadways.

Road Sweeper / Broomer: Cleans dirt and debris from the road surface prior to spraying bitumen or laying asphalt.
Road Marking Machine: Applies paint and reflective thermoplastic materials to create lane lines, crosswalks, and symbols.
Water Tanker: Sprays water for dust control, maintaining soil moisture for compaction, and cleaning surfaces.
Lighting Tower: Provides mobile, high-intensity lighting for night paving and construction operations.
